CYRO Announces Fourth Price Increase
For ACRYLITE Polymers Occurring In 2004

Rockaway, NJ – October 6, 2004 – As a result of the rising cost of energy and raw materials, CYRO Industries announces that effective with shipments on or after November 1, 2004, prices for all grades of ACRYLITE® acrylic polymers and ACRYLITE PLUS® impact acrylic polymers will increase by $0.08 /lb. This represents the fourth price increase taking place during 2004. The first price increase took effect May 3, increasing polymer prices by $0.08 per pound. The second increase took effect June 23 raising the price by $0.05 per pound, and the third took effect August 9th raising the price by $0.08 per pound.

“This increase represents a portion of the costs recently incurred and reflects CYRO’s continuing effort to mitigate and share in these costs with our customers,” comments Matthew Corcoran, Director – Strategic Account Management, ACRYLITE & ACRYLITE PLUS Polymers.

The cost of acetone, already at historic highs, will move yet higher as the result of a recently announced price increase. Acetone is a major component and critical cost driver in the manufacture of MMA and PMMA. In an attempt to manage ongoing supply and demand imbalances, MMA suppliers continue to impose sales restrictions and recently implemented a $0.12 /lb price increase. Additionally, the market supply of acrylates has tightened, resulting in higher costs to crucial feed stocks in the manufacture of modified acrylic polymers.
